THE NATIONAL PALACE MUSEUM

Pinyin: Gù gōng bó wù yuàn
The National Palace Museum is a MUST visit in Taipei for any Chinese art enthusiasts. It houses 650,000 treasures of the Ching imperial family. The special collection rotates every six months hence it will take a person eighteen years to complete viewing all treasures. The collections here are among the finest in the world. One can easily spent an entire day here. Great place to be especially on a rainy day. Be sure to check the weather forecast in order to plan your travel itinerary accordingly.
1. Entrance fee: NTD250 per adult
2. Getting there: Take MRT to Shilin station and come out from exit 1. Then, take a taxi or bus number 255 or 304 to get to the museum.
3. Guided tour in English: 10:00 and 15:00.
4. Note: Cameras are not allowed in the exhibition area.
