SIEM REAP 2016 PHOTOLOGUE

I had the pleasure of visiting Siem Reap in July this year. Contrary to a war torn history, Siem Reap was a far more interesting city than what I had initially thought it would be. The ruins of the Angkor was not only designated as a UNESCO heritage site but also one of the top ten places in the world to visit before one kicks the bucket. Ta Prohm was widely known as the shooting location where parts of the major blockbuster movie Lara Croft: The Tomb Raider was filmed. Aside from the Angkor Wat complex, Siem Reap was culturally fascinating as well. The Royal Cambodian ballet dancers depicting scenes of the Ramayana epic were perpetually elegant with their ever so graceful movements and hand gestures. I’ve truly enjoyed my stay in a traditional Cambodian wooden hut. The Khmer people had shown me insurmountable hospitality and generosity. It was a trip I will never forget.
